Pain has been a part of my life forever. At points it has stopped, limited and restricted me. I feel I have been developing a style of growing transcending through it, these days… 

The isolation of the 2020 lockdown gave me a perfect opportunity to reflect & sit with myself, accepting pain & limit’s as an everyday part of life. I realised I can sit, lye & curl up & feel like dying or I can stretch out make art & express myself through my creative expression…

 This series of work portrays a mixture of being bound, limited and restricted shown by the tape representing disability but growing through it.

The flower head represents not only growth but bursting into life having found creative inspiration and new connections, now out of isolation, life and new life has blossomed.
