This bronze coloured French bulldog, is a representation of the relationship between the UK and Europe, France our nearest Neighbour, now distanced by Brexit.
So much has changed we now have a European passport, our children can no longer work in Europe easily without a visa, the easy flow between our countries has ceased.
Our connections are now strained as Brexit has severed our freedom of movement after 40 years. These “French Bulldogs”are a representation of our love and affection which is not gone and still exists between us as people and individuals and just as importantly our beloved animals.
This sculpture is symbolic of our hope and fondness no matter what the political landscape
